Readers, if you’ve read any of the other posts here, you will be familiar with our occasional rantings about finding that sweet spot with dark chocolate. It is, in our humble opinion, somewhere around the 60 percent mark that one is more likely to encounter such well composed chocolates.

Santander – Dark Chocolate, single origin Columbian

Another in the trend of a single-region-focused chocolate, this particular one from Columbia has a higher cocoa content (70%) and is certified GMO-free. This definitely highlights the flavors particular to Columbian cocoa beans – darker, earthier, almost coffee like in flavor, and there’s a definite fruit highlight to it – cherry?
