Lake Champlain Spicy Aztec

Another of our favorite chocolatiers, Lake Champlain has a line of organic chocolate, which includes this fantastic bar: “An unexpected blend of spicy cayenne, crunchy pumpkin seeds, and fragrant cinnamon…”
This has a fantastic mouthfeel – more creamy and sweet than we’d expect. As soon as your mouth acclimates to the melting chocolate consistency, you bite into the crunchy pumpkin seeds, and you start to encounter the cinnamon and the cayenne. This bar packs a surprising amount of heat. Even better, is the heat and the seeds linger just a touch bit longer than the chocolate – almost giving it a cleansing effect. The heat dissappates, leaving the slightest hint of cinnamon on your lips. Fantastic. I think I’d include this in our Top 10….
