One of our favorite chocolate makers, Katrina, of Vosges Haut-Chocolat fame, has another line of chocolates inspired by a cross-country trip across the U.S., and the inevitable attraction to local flavors that such a trip would impart: peaches, pecans, barbecue-flavored potato chips…
Among these flavors is the Bayou cayenne chili pepper, and what better way to enjoy this than to wrap it in a 60% cocoa dark chocolate blanket. The chocolate is made perfectly – perfect mouthfeel, perfect consistency.
Throw in cinnamon and some ancho and chipotle peppers, and you have yourself a dark chocolate with some lagniappe! F’sho! This definitely ranks high on our selective list of spicy chocolate bars.
